VALVES FOR WATER WORKS SYSTEM

Wastewater Combination Air Valve

The VALMERU MCW Wastewater Combination Air Valve is designed specifically for wastewater and sewage pipelines, combining air release and air/vacuum functions in a single valve. By integrating air/vacuum and air-release functions with an elongated body and liquid-barrier concept, MCW provides powerful air control while protecting the operating mechanism from solids and aggressive wastewater conditions.

MCW - COMBINATION AIR VALVE for WASTE WATER

DESCRIPTION

Meticulously designed for demanding sewage service, MCW uses an innovative elongated-body arrangement to separate the float mechanism from wastewater and floating solids. Its advanced clog-resistant structure helps prevent solid accumulation and leakage, supporting maximum operational reliability, easier backwashing and long-term service performance.

BENEFITS

  • Elongated Body & Liquid Barrier Design
  • Non-Clogging & Solid-Resistant Structure
  • All-in-One Sewage Air Control
  • Integrated Backwashing & Easy Maintenance
  • Odor Control & Gas Corrosion Resistance
  • Prevention of Gas Pockets & Pumping Drag

MCW – COMBINATION AIR VALVE for WASTE WATER FAQ

Why should I consider MCW instead of a standard MCV for wastewater service?

MCW provides the same combination air-control functions but is specifically configured for wastewater and sewage service. Its elongated body and liquid-barrier concept are intended to reduce direct interaction between the operating mechanism and wastewater solids.

What size and orifice ranges are available for MCW?

MCW provides small orifices from 0.8 mm to 6 mm for pressurized air release, large orifices from 1 inch (ND 25A) to 6 inch (ND 150A) for bulk intake and venting during line filling and draining, and flange sizes from 1/2 inch (ND 15A) to 6 inch (ND 150A).

Can MCW be supplied for corrosive wastewater conditions?

Yes. The standard material sets include carbon steel, stainless steel and nickel-aluminum bronze options, and Hastelloy, Duplex series and Incoloy series are available on request.

What project information is useful when selecting MCW?

For technical review, it is helpful to provide pipeline size and pressure, wastewater or sewage service characteristics, connection standard, material requirement and any project-specific air-management conditions.
